Role overview

Essential Duties:
1. Collaborates to ensure sales metrics and goals are met for a specific region or customer segments.
2. Manages and coaches sales professionals in a specific region or customer segment.
3. Supports the Commercial Director and Area Sales Managers with quotes, discounts, trade-ins, 
finance/credit requirements, and internal approvals to ensure commercially compliant and 
customer-ready proposals
4. Manages pre-order processes, ensuring customer requirements are captured, eligibility checks are 
completed, and lead times are confirmed prior to ordering.
5. Supports order configuration activities, validating specifications/options, compatibility, pricing, and 
approvals before submission.
6. Oversees CRM management activities, ensuring opportunities, customer records, notes, and pipeline 
stages are accurate and kept up to date
7. Ensures that a consistent sales process is followed for their region or customer segment.
8. Ensures the sales document process is established and followed by sales team members for their 
region or customer segment.
9. Supports with used and new whole goods inventory levels and metrics.
10. Processes and places sales orders, ensuring all documentation is complete, order details are 
accurate, and hand-offs to operations/delivery are coordinated
11. Supports with recruiting, staffing and is responsible for employee development, training, activities 
for direct reports.
12. Supports with shows, events and customer trips. Need for occasional travel. 
13. Works with internal stakeholders to promote customer satisfaction.
14. Manages budgets for a specific region or customer segment, in alignment with the organisation’s 
financial and operational objectives
15. Supports with assist with creating the Sales Department business plan 
16. Works with sales management team to identify and execute best practices.


Skills & Qualifications:
– 3+ years sales experience, 1+ years sales management experience.
– Familiar with John Deere and other manufacturer products.
– Proven managerial ability including leading, coaching, and developing others.
– Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and exteranal teams
– Ability to define and implement sales processes. 
– Ability to use internal and dealer sales applications and tools.
– Ability to use software applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
– Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports.
– Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
