Bodyshop Advisor

Ripon Paint and Body is an accident and repair centre part of the Ripon Farm Services Group. It is a family owned multibranch agricultural dealer covering 12 sites within Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
Operating from new purpose built premises, Ripon Paint and Body holds a number of insurance and manufacture approvals, including Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover and the VW Group, to name but a few.

This is a very busy and pivotal role within the Bodyshop and you will act as the point of contact for both internal and external customer enquires. The role will co-ordinate the booking-in and checking out of vehicles and liaising with vehicle manufactures and insurance providers appropriately.
You will be required to maintain the required processes, workflows and systems, keeping accurate logs using electronic and paper systems. Duties include opening works orders, processing payments, invoices and invoicing queries, chasing debtors, and supplementary estimates, end of day processes, hire fleet and other administrative duties associated with running a busy Bodyshop.
You will be required to act in a professional manner and actively promotes Ripon Farm Services and Ripon Paint and Body with positivity and integrity.

· To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly organised and efficient with excellent administrative and customer service skills. You must have the ability to follow process and have a keen eye for detail;
· You will also need to be able to communicate effectively across all departments, branches and directly with our customers;
· The role will require you to demonstrate excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office packages along with the ability to learn our bespoke IT programs, systems and processes;
· Knowledge of EMACS or other Bodyshop administration systems would be advantageous but not essential;
· Each day will present a different challenge and you will need a considered and pragmatic approach to working to resolve these challenges;

· All training will be provided where required.

Hours of work
You will work full-time Monday to Friday and alternate Saturday mornings. Occasional overtime may be required to suit the business demands.

Area Sales Manager – Tadcaster

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Area Sales Manager will be based at the Tadcaster depot and you will be required to visit customers at their premises. You will be responsible for maintaining existing accounts as well as generating new business within your sales area.

Group Marketing Manager

The position of Group Marketing Manager reports into the Commercial Director and will be based in Ripon. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the go-to-market strategy for the Company working in conjunction with the Sales and Aftermarket Management teams.

In addition, the Group Marketing Manager will assist with the communication and mainstreaming of John Deere Precision Ag strategy across the AOR along with promotion of the Ripon Farm Services Brand.

Agricultural Service Mechanic

To work in a busy Agricultural Service Department performing maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery. This work will often be done at customer’s farms ensuring plenty of local travel around the area.


Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems is required to enable the repair of agricultural equipment. A base understanding of agriculture and machinery would be essential. A driving licence would be required as there will be a need to drive company vehicles.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday (8am till 5pm) with flexible overtime to suit the business demands at evenings and weekends.

Agricultural Dealership Parts Apprentice

General duties:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic person to join our aftersales team in our Parts department as our parts apprentice. The parts adviser role is varied as you’ll be key to helping customers, our service department and sales department with the parts they require while keeping on top of stocking, ordering and promotional displays. A key member of a small parts team, you’ll be instrumental to the branch and our customers.


Knowledge of agricultural equipment would be preferred but full training on systems and product will be provided. As our apprentice you will need an appetite for learning and an enthusiasm for the industry. Full apprenticeship training is provided by our apprenticeship provider giving an industry recognised qualification upon competition.
