We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our aftersales team in our Service department as a Service Apprentice. The apprenticeships are provided through John Deere and ProVQ with the emphasis firmly on farm machinery.
At the end of the apprenticeship, you will receive an industry recognised qualification upon competition. Our Land-Based Service Engineering (LBSE) Technician apprenticeship follows the level 3 Apprenticeship Standard; Land-Based Service Engineering Technician (ST0243).
As an apprentice, you will develop skills and proficiency in a wide range of technical areas, from routine maintenance and servicing through to complex component overhauls utilising the very latest John Deere diagnostic equipment.
The programme duration is for three years and includes block release at the John Deere purpose-built training centre in Nottinghamshire.
Apprentices are required to have achieved English & Maths at GCSE A-C or 4 & above, or Functional Skills Level 2 prior to being put forward for EPA.
At the end of your training period, you will be required to sit an end point assessment (EPA). This is completed using the evidence collected throughout your apprenticeship and discussions with the training provider. The EPA itself will consist of online tests, practical observations, and professional discussions.
