NEW DESIGN -Even faster cooling
Following a significant re-design, the Martin Lishman Pile-Dry Pedestal and Fan system helps farmers reduce crop storage costs even further. Using new manufacturing techniques the air flow through Pile-Dry Pedestals has been increased by 25%, making it the most efficient system of its kind. The unique-design fans deliver 45% more air and operate at pressures 40% higher than most other makes. The result is increased crop cooling speed, improved drying ability and lower running costs. |
CROP COOLING |

Pile-Dry Pedestals is the fastest cooling system of its kind. The system cools grain and other crops quickly and evenly to conserve quality, without the need for insecticides.
Using natural air, Pile-Dry Pedestals will cool grain straight off the combine or the drier to speed throughput and increase drier capacity. They can use cold air to chill grain and avoid insect problems.

| Recent tests by HGCA demonstrated that a typical Pile-Dry Pedestal unit will cool around 100 tons of grain in 100 hours of ventilation, and that the system operates at c.20% above the required ventilation rate. |
| CROP DRYING |

Pile-Dry Pedestals will dry grain, and is the only system of its kind to do so. With careful management, or using our Automatic Fan Controllers, with natural or heated air the system can achieve up to 2% drying per week.
If natural air is too moist 1.1kW heaters can be fitted to our F2 and F3 fan models. Air dried by the heater is blown down the Pedestal to assist crop drying. |
