Euromix II – SPH Horizontal auger mixers
Kuhn horizontal auger mixers
More than ever before, for a farm to be competitive, the ration fed to the livestock needs to offer outstanding performance on a nutritional level and from a technical and economical aspect.
Based on the company’s considerable experience in the engineering and development of bedding and feeding equipment, Kuhn has designed trailed and self-propelled horizontal auger mixers to meet the following targets : |
 |
Use of long products (hay, haylage, etc.). The chopping capacity of the mixing augers allows long-fibre forage to be incorporated into the ration.
On self-propelled models, the high output milling head guarantees an outstanding silage cutting and loading rate. |
 |
 |
Full use of the body capacity thanks to the double horizontal auger mixing concept. |
 |
Homogeneous mixing recognised for producing rations which fully meet the nutritional and physiological needs of your stock. |
 |
Speed and quality of distribution: The production of an even string of fodder enables each animal to feed to its maximum potential. |
 |
 |
Improvement in your daily working conditions while benefiting from the reliability and know-how that have always guided the development of Kuhn products. |
By selecting a Kuhn mixer, you are buying a reliable, high-performance machine designed to achieve your primary objective : the distribution of a quality mixed ration. |
|
EUROMIX II Trailed Mixer Feeder Wagons
Two types of auger drive for all your needs |
|
 |
Available in three sizes (10, 14 and 18 m3) EUROMIX II mixer-feeder wagons stand out particularly due to their robust design, easy loading and unrivalled user-friendly controls.
Models equipped with FLEXIDRIVE® are designed to produce mixed rations based on long-fibre fodder such as hay and haylage.
With its symmetrical body design, EUROMIX II can discharge even fodder strings to either side of the machine. |
Easier loading
The EUROMIX II design combines large body capacities and low loading heights : 2.97 m for the 18 m3 EUROMIX II !
With its “mushroom” mixing concept, the entire volume of the body is maximised irrespective of the loading point. |
 |
Electric controls as standard
Designed for fingertip control of the machine. The small unit can be fitted in every type of tractor cab.
The controls are compatible with future growth in the size of the holding as discharge conveyors can be added later. |
 |
A design synonymous with strength
Assembly and welding are performed in a single swivel jig to obtain a constant quality finish and maximum rigidity to withstand impacts on loading. The quality of the steel and the thickness of the auger coils help them to resist abrasion and corrosion by silage juices.
The standard frame reduces the stress exerted by the weight of the fodder contained in the body during the transport phase. |
 |
FLEXIDRIVE® system for high-fibre mixed rations
1 The drive system on the EUROMIX II 1460 FLEXIDRIVE® and the EUROMIX II 1860 FLEXIDRIVE® consists of a series of gears and comprises a reversing system as standard.
Each auger is connected to the drive via a reduction gear train.
2 The FLEXIDRIVE® coupling between the auger and the reduction gear train is designed to absorb any deflections in the auger tube. |

SPH - Self-Propelled Mixer-Feeder Wagons
Innovation, performance and reliability
Recognised for their performance, reliability and comfort, SPH Silage Cutter & Mixer Wagons are favourites with farmers who are keen to improve the productivity of their stock through the distribution of quality feed.
Featuring a range of equipment and leading-edge technology, Kuhn selfpropelled models will satisfy the most demanding requirements.
Combined with unrivalled driving comfort, the exceptional on-road capabilities of the SPH range help achieve surprising times on ful l cycles (loading, mixing, feeding and travel). |
Feed supplements
The SPH milling head enables additional ingredients, such as nitrogen supplements, cereals, etc., to be incorporated into the ration without loss.
Nutritional supplements (minerals etc.) can be safely added by means of a flap ideally positioned at chest height. The nutritional supplements transported by the conveyor are thoroughly mixed in
with the basic ration. |
 |
High-speed milling head and loading Conveyor
The milling head, equipped with a 74 kW (100 DIN-hp) motor, can load up to 3300 kg/min of maize silage. The milling head downstroke is automatically controlled for perfect adaptation to various products : the driver can concentrate on the machine’s other functions (weighing, etc.).
For maximum efficiency in the loading of long products while preserving the fibrousness of other fodder, the milling head spires alternate straight and elbow sections.
The effective cutter width (2 m) incorporates the transmission. As a result, silage can be cut from the edges of bunker silos. |
 |
 |
Adapted to milling head performance, the conveyor consists of a 650 mm wide rubber belt, specially treated to withstand fatty acids. Two Teflon scrapers keep the conveyor belt clean in moist fodder conditions.
For a maximum loading rate with dry rations and optimal use of the body capacity, a hydraulically powered spreader arm is positioned at the end of the conveyor. |
