COMBILINER®, the KUHN high performance concept
Investment in a "SEED DRILL" is a key event on any farm.
Your requirements particularly concern criteria such as: |
The high capacity combination seed drill with complete versatility
Unrivalled versatility and performance. This new COMBILINER® sows a maximum number of hectares per day, on ploughed or unploughed land.
Its wide hopper and large capacity is very easy to load for all kind of seed packaging (bulk, bags or big-bag).
For seeding, the coulter bar is equipped with double discs and guide wheel.
These kinematics ensure perfect seed depth evenness and adequate capacity to place the seed at the right depth even at a sustained speed. |
A “MAXI” hopper. Operating range for savings
2000 l capacity to: |
Hold 2 big-bags containing 600 kg (1322 lbs) of seeds, while retaining a large residual supply of seeds; |
Avoid transporting seeds to the field: filling at the farm every half day of work may be enough in some cases. |
Easy to load hopper
The extra wide hopper (2.80 m/9’2”) makes it easy to fill using a bucket as well as pouring in a big-bag from the side, without the need for a telescopic loader. |
Seed drill independent from the power harrow.
The new combination seed drill has all the advantages of a combination seed drill while keeping the power harrow independent: |
It lifts up on meeting an obstacle; |
No vibration of the controlled tool relative to the seed drill; |
The coulter bar always stays in its set position, even when the roller setting is changed |
The power harrow can be used independently after removing the seed drill. |
Maximum accessibility to the metering unit.
Practical: the removable step allows complete access to the metering unit to check flow rate and collect residual seed at the end of the job. |
High-speed seeding on unploughed or ploughed land
With its long experience in direct seeding or seeding in unploughed land using drills with a parallelogram linkage, KUHN offers this new drill with steeply offset double-discs for easy passage in hard soil. They are made of treated steel for maximum life, minimum servicing and reduced weight. |
Stability and seeding capacity at high speed.
The topsoiling system and offset discs allow the drill to penetrate deep into the soil while ensuring depth regularity, even at sustained seeding speeds.
35 cm clearance
The two rows of discs are 35 cm apart A :
an advantage for working in the presence of clods in difficult conditions and hard soils.
To adapt rapidly to the seeding depth...
and in total comfort |
No need to touch the seeding units!
1. The seeding depth is determined by the position of the guide wheels relative to the discs. It is adjusted centrally via a handle.
2. The ground pressure of the seeding units is also adjusted centrally. |

QUANTRON S:
everything in hand for seeding management!
VENTA NX 3000 - 4000 seed drills are equipped with the Quantron S unit. Particularly user-friendly with its guidance menu, it has many functions: |
QUANTRON S: user-friendly and complete
All the information on one screen
The working screen (whose 2 information fields can be configured by the driver), provides information at a glance on the position of the markers, post-emergence marking, blower unit, seed level, application rate, speed, quantity sown, etc.
50 seed varieties stored
The QUANTRON S includes 14 common varieties of seed.
The user can store fifty varieties (by name) after checking the flow rate, therefore having them available for another operation.
Stores 200 fields
Storage database: 200 fields can be stored with their name, area sown, quantity of seed used, number of hours of seeding, start and end dates of the work. |
Levelling bar indexed to the working depth
The roller chassis holds the levelling bar: it is adjusted automatically when the working depth of the harrow changes.
Oblique folding markers
- The markers fold obliquely which reduces their height considerably and prevents them from catching on branches during transport.
- A shock-absorber and a safety device protect them against fatigue during highspeed seeding and when obstacles are encountered. |
Removing the seed drill
The seed drill can be removed while maintaining the harrow and its roller operational: the driven tool can then be reused for other soil preparations. |
Coulter bar lifted hydraulically
VENTA-NC combination seed drills are all equipped with hydraulic lifting systems for the seed ramp. This is useful for reversing in complete safety or simply when you want to use the power harrow on its own for a while. |
Optional equipment:
Power harrow: set of optional gearwheels - Track eradicators with bolts or non-stop - Levelling bar.
Seed drill: Half-width shut off - Blower driven by tractor hydraulics (provide a tractor with LS circuit, 40 l/min at 80 bars) - Side markers - Covering harrow - Pre-emergence markers - Depth wheel mud scraper. |
