How can the HiFlow pickups swallow so much crop? Take a look at the extremely wide bale chamber opening – the baler’s
“mouth” – which allows this huge appetite. Besides a high capacity, this system ensures delicate crops are not damaged
while tractor HP requirement are
kept low.
The 2.2 m HiFlow pickup was specially designed to swallow the biggest windrows without hesitation.
A 2.0 m pick-up, designed following the concept of the 2.2 m model, also benefits from the John Deere HiFlow concept including efficient bale starting and high gathering output. |

Better bale starts, no matter where you
set the pick-up. That’s what 2.0 m and
2.2 m HiFlow pickups deliver, in every
crop, every condition. The 3-fork crankshaft feeder is bolted on to the main frame of the baler (underneath the chamber). This results in a fixed geometry in the bale starting area. You get fast, direct feeding to the large chamber entrance, even with oversized windrows. |
For highest productivity, John Deere designed the brand-new high speed RotoFlow pickup with mechanical reverser. The double V layout of rotor fingers ensures an even distribution of incoming
material over the full bale chamber
width. The uniform crop flow results
in an optional bale shape. |

A large powered roll is located at the bottom of chamber to take the incoming crop from the rotor feeder and initiate the bale start. This roll helps to rotate the bale even with slippery crops and supports the weight of heavy tight bales.
If your baler happens to become plugged, the full reverse motion of the rotor quickly removes it so you can get back to baling in a matter of minutes. |
The MaxiCut delivers consistent cutting quality for air tight silage bales. As the crop
enters, pairs of rotating fingers draw it against the knife section. The grass is cut into short, uniform pieces – ideal for silage bales. The bales are easy to break up and spread when it comes to feeding.
Get precise chopping and higher quality forage. Knives located on the MaxiCut floor are spaced at 7 cm. The special design and reinforced springs gives you an exact cut every time. |

You won’t have to worry about breaking a knife. Each knife is individually spring loaded to swing down in case a foreign object enters the baler. The BaleTrak Plus gives a clear warning if a knife is disengaged.
Increase baling speed with confidence. Like the RotoFlow, a mechanical reverser (hydraulically activated) lets you remove plugs without leaving the cab. No tools required! Control the entire rotor reversing process from your seat after pressing the reverser button. The PTO turns slowly, delivering extra torque to expel stubborn blockages so you can continue baling. |
