| Mr. W. B. Houseman, Director of Ripon Farm Services Ltd received the outstanding Contribution award to Yorkshire Agriculture, from Mr. Ken. Morrison, the outgoing president of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. |

|
 |
"The Yorkshire Agricultural Society jointly with the Royal Agriculture Benevolent Institution make an award to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to Yorkshire agriculture. This life time achievement award was created to acknowledge someone who has given years of service to farming and the countryside either in their professional life or in voluntary life and often in both. First presented to Jim Barton in 2008 he was followed by Raymond Twiddle and Howard Petch. So it gives me enormous pleasure to announce that this year the award goes to William B Houseman in recognition of his outstanding contribution to agriculture over many years. "
