Designed and manufactured by Arctic Cat, the brand-new H2 engine is a V-Twin, EFI 4-stroke with dynamic engine braking. They crafted this torque-tuned motor for mind-blowing acceleration. In fact this ATV rivals most full-size pickups for towing and acceleration.
SHAFT SAVER
To handle the H2’s enormous power the engineers decided it would be smart to beef up the rear differential. New components are designed to transfer maximum power to the wheels while protecting the driveline from the onslaught of power.
HEMI PERFORMANCE
The H in H2 stands for hemispherical combustion chamber. The primary advantage of this design is more complete, more efficient combustion. Electronic furl injection takes the smooth-running engine to a higher level by adjusting for climate and altitude. EFI assures effortless starts, even on cold mornings.

PERFORMANCE-MINDED ERGONOMICS
The H2 V-Twin powers a new lengthened chassis that is both agile and durable. They designed the seat giving it a lower profile. Then they went to work on the handlebars. Lighter, more responsive steering improves handling. The combined result gives you the feeling of riding “In” the machine instead of “On” it. |

Drive belt constantly engaged for long life |
 |
Most durable transmission in the market |
|
|
This durable automatic transmission is made of a centrifugal clutch with primary and driven belt clutches. The centrifugal clutch engages as revolutions per minute rise, allowing the primary clutch to stay engaged with the belt at all times. Constant engagement both reduces belt wear and extends belt life, as well as providing true engine braking.
CVT
CVT means Continuous variable transmission and is the common propulsion principle for ATV’s. |
 |
With the CVT, speed, dependant on the torque, is regulated steplessly via a belt drive.
This mostly takes place in combination with a centrifugal clutch and reduction gear.
This propulsion principle facilitates an infinitely variable speed control without shifting processes and especially offroad, in connection with the offroad reduction “Low”, it offers large advantages. |

REDESIGNED SEAT
Notice the low-profile seat – very comfortable. As you settle into the saddle you notice there’s something different about this wheeler. The machine hunkers down giving you the sense that you are at one with the bike. That’s called ride-in. Not only does it raise your confidence, it lowers your centre of gravity. Now you know where they came up with this business about sticking like glue. |

To handle 1000 H2’s enormous output, they have engineered a rear differential to deliver maximum power to the tyres with minimum driveline wear. |

Need maximum traction? Flip the Diff Lock switch and both front tyres are engaged to pull you through the toughest terrain. Unlock the front differential and blast down the trail with easier steering. |
